Hawthowe had synesthesia.  Though she had, in her short but varied life, seen sounds, felt thoughts and smelled earthquakes, she was unprepared for the noise Nikita was making:  like a couple of rock 'n' roll screams folded around each other...

What if history was cyclical?  What if the Great Cycle, (the prophecy of the entity from 90377 Sedna) would culminate in an inevitable cataclysm that would destroy people and technology, and even memory?

"... Now, a gate doesn't have to look like this, you see? But for the purpose of discussion, this is the one to use." There was a weird gap in the action. "Someone's phone," said Nikita.
